Meeting with the head developer of the Honda TYPE R cars, the EDIFICE development team was inspired by the Honda concept of introducing the “true essence” and “sense” of racing to the road car, and set out to integrate these ideas into the design of the EDIFICE Honda TYPE R Edition. The “true essence” of racing is reflected in the timepiece’s readability and fit. Glow-in-the-dark paint applied to the index marks and hands ensures outstanding readability, while the genuine-leather band with its deployment buckle and Alcantara material lining ensures an even more comfortable fit. Turning to the “sense” of racing, this timepiece feels almost like “wearing” a Honda TYPE R car on your wrist. The design is packed with symbols of the TYPE R — the “Red H” badge, authentic Championship White paint, buttons featuring the R mark, the TYPE logo on the band loop and case back, and the Alcantara material and red stitching actually used in the interior of TYPE R cars. Finally, the entire TYPE R lineage is honored with iconic TYPE R model codes printed on the white leather band.
